Ɓooyaa fun ko Demburu tilli e yimde

We are the eighth symbol of the country
of the dwarf-spirits; and to Kaydara alone the secret belongs;
the distant, the nearby Kaydara.
As for you, son of Adam, go your way
As if by a miracle, the travelers' hunger went away.
They resumed their trek, without knowing where to go.
They had to walk, they set out walking.
They walked with shadows, shadows that walked 48.
Then Demburu chanted to himself:
“(the King) Manna 49 told me, ‘child, be good!
Be good to your two parents.
Nine months under a veiled membrane
your mother kept you like a dead person in a shroud.
Your father's burdens were many.
He brought with his hands what was given to feed you.
You needed thirty-three months for the hardening
of the thirty-three rings 50 of your spinal column.’
Oh my father, my mother, I will be filled with gratitude!
Grateful to you! Let the creative force guide my footsteps.
Weaned from the mother's milk, give us the strength to imbibe knowledge!
There is no doubt, we are heading towards Kaydara;
the distant, the nearby Kaydara.”
Hardly had Demburu finished his song

Notes (Lilyan Kesteloot)
48. Shadows move, following the movement of the sun.
49. Manna is the title by which initiated kings are designated; it becomes even the name of the legendary initiated king, who is encountered at the origin of many initiatory tales. In the same fashion, Hammadi-Manna will be the hero type, son of the king, defending knight of the oppressed.
50. It is said that the child lies for 33 months in its mother: the nine months of pregnancy and 24 months of breastfeeding. It is also said that each of these months consolidates one vertebra.
